Hello Team PinBrawl!,

Looking very forward to the 25th Anniversary of the Pinball Expo this year! Back by popular demand with the return of Pinbrawl this year will be El Dorado City of Gold. I have been asked time and time again when this Gottlieb favorite will return to the show, so now after a two year absence I can say look forward to playing El Dorado City of Gold again.

I have a few other unique machines I plan on bringing as well including an extremely rare Gottlieb Spring Break II. As far as I know these were only test conversion kits for Spring Break made during the Amazon Hunt II run, no dedicated cabinets were ever produced. They kept the same game #706, but the factory test Roms used are (version 706 YROM2). This update made for much better game play for the skilled players. Some of the improved features include starting each ball in play without multi-ball and advanced scoring for the correct drop target sequence. It's very similar to Centaur, where after a sequence is made an add-a-ball kicks out. I'm very excited to show this game this year!

I will be speaking this year on "Weird & Hard to Find Pinball Machines", Thursday at 3:30. This will be a fun seminar on collecting rare machines plus a trivia at the end with prizes! I will be focusing on the overlooked machines of John Osbourne. His designs were not rare for a reason, Strange World may very well be the greatest Gottlieb design of the 70's and only 675 were produced. For those who have not played Strange World, I will be showcasing an immaculate example this year.

Tina and I are also staying for the entire Pinball Expo this year and leaving Monday, so I'll be able to keep these games in the exhibit Hall for as long as possible Sunday. So place these games on the website, (note that Strange World will not be used in the Pinbrawl.) I will let you know if anything changes.

(Pinbrawl Games): Gottlieb; El Dorado City of Gold & Spring Break II

Thanks, Derek
