Format:

TRI-WIZARD TOURNAMENT
(3-man team chosen by players, Saturday 8am-5pm, limited to 48 players, 16 teams) Location: Birch Room

QUALIFYING ROUND:

• Teams are pre-ranked PinBrawl style from top to bottom based on WPPR rankings.
• Every game played during this tournament will consist of each player playing 1 ball.
• First round will consist of teams playing to determine what division they end up in (1 v 16, winner goes to A, loser goes to B). This round will be a Best-of-7 series, with the first team to 4 wins winning the match. The higher seeded team will have first choice of machine or position, with the loser of each subsequent game getting that choice.

MATCH PLAY ROUND:

• Once the teams are placed in their respective divisional brackets, there will once again be a Best-of-7 match with the 1 seed playing the 8 seed, 2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v5. These matches will be played with the same format as the initial round.

CHAMPIONSHIP:

• The Final and Consolation Final will consist of group play between the 4 teams. Each team will get to pick a machine for the final, with all 4 teams playing against each other on each of the machines. 1st place awards 7 points, 2nd place awards 5 points, 3rd place awards 3 points, 4th place awards 1 point. The lowest seeded team will pick first machine, second lowest seeded team will pick the second machine, second highest seeded team will pick the third machine, and the highest seeded team will pick the last machine. Choice of playing position will go as follows: Game 1 – 4th seed, 3rd seed, 2nd seed, 1st seed; Game 2 – 3rd seed, 2nd seed, 1st seed, 4th seed, Game 3 – 2nd seed, 1st seed, 4th seed, 3rd seed, Game 4 – 1st seed, 4th seed, 3rd seed, 2nd seed. A maximum of 28 points is available for any given team. The team with the most points at the end of the 4 games is the winner. Ties will be handled in a 1 game playoff.
